Does anyone else have a moral repulsion towards so-called recreated and historical war video games?

I'm talking about games like Call of Duty or Medal of Honor. I haven't played them and admittedly I'm not really familiar, so I may be totally off base, but I'm uming there's some kind of energy bar of something. I find the very concept disgusting, real people died during these battles, brothers, husbands, fathers. Just one properly aimed shot could mean their life was over. Doesn't it totally disrespect their memory to be so cavalier about 'recreating' it? Tacitly, as if none of these people mattered, and the violence was somehow cartoonish. I don't mind fantasy scenarios but I can't understand the mindset of people who create games like this, don't we owe it to the people much braver than ourselves who fault there to preserve their memory in a consecrated manner? Am I alone in feeling this way? Yes, people have a right to play whatever game they choose, but I just feel offended with the casualness of their production and acceptance.
