I was curious so I went to a Spiritualist church. Should I go back?

The medium chose me out of the congregation first. She delivered messages to me that seemed to fit. Then she told the congregation that I had spirits transfiguring on my face. She said that it is a special gift and that I am not a novice. She said that if I begin to knock that doors will open for me. My inquisitive mind says to go back because it seems interesting if I really do have this gift. My Christian upbringing says to avoid going there because demons could have attached themselves to me and that I shouldn't open those types of doors. My skeptical side thinks the lady wants me to come and donate money to learn how to increase my new found "special abilities." I wanted some some opinions from christians and spiritualists. What is tranfiguration? Am I in danger or am I in healing light.... thanks. -Laura
