I caught my 3 yo .........?

Everyday i let my kids chose a type of candy or sweet thing from the pantry . So i don't really allow them to munch on junk all day , so they rush to the pantry when i say 'candy time !' . Yesterday , i was busy planning my busy busy busy work schedule so i couldn't bring them to the kitchen pantry , i told them to take what they wanted and told them to show me what they picked . 2 of my 3 kids came back to show me what they got , but the youngest on aged 3 didn't come to my study to show me what she got . So i searched for her in the kitchen and i found her biting into a tomato like you would with anapple . I was like 'ummm ... fine '' then she finished it ... Is this normal for a 3 yo to just bite into a tomato ?
